I work as a designer on Stasβs team, reporting directly to him. What Iβve come to appreciate most is his ability to combine product thinking, a strong understanding of UX/UI, and effective team leadership. Stas has a clear vision of the product weβre building and helps us make design decisions that serve both user needs and business goals.
We work closely throughout the entire process, from exploring ideas and user journeys to prototyping, design, and handoff to development. He clearly explains the outcome weβre aiming for and why, provides actionable feedback, and leaves room for initiative and a designerβs professional judgment. This helps me develop a deeper understanding of the product and grow as a specialist.
His approach to operations also stands out. Stas has built a shared workspace in Notion that connects tasks, priorities, product documentation, and decisions from team discussions. Together with clear workflows in Figma and close coordination with development, this gives everyone a clear understanding of what weβre doing, why it matters, and who owns what.
Stas is a strongly AI-forward leader who actively brings AI into everyday workflows and gives the team opportunities to use it in design and prototyping. He automates routine work: AI agents help capture meeting outcomes and turn action items into tasks that we then review and prioritize. I appreciate how hands-on he is with these tools and how he uses them to give us more time for meaningful product work.
He is equally thoughtful about hiring, choosing people for both their professional skills and their ability to collaborate well with the team. On a personal level, Stas is honest, fair, and considerate. I feel comfortable discussing challenges, sharing ideas, and asking questions. He is also willing to make difficult decisions and address issues that affect the teamβs performance. For me, that combination of high standards, support, and respect for people makes him a great leader to work with. Under his leadership, I feel that my contribution is valued and that I have room to grow.
